The laboratory provides technical support services in stable isotope analysis for research areas such as earth environment-life evolution, mineral resources, global climate, atmospheric science, and planetary science.
The laboratory has two gas stable isotope ratio mass spectrometers (MAT 253 Plus, Delta Q) and a combination of auxiliary equipment such as an element analyzer EA, multi-purpose gas preparation-import system Gasbench, CO2laser fluorination heating device, O2preparation-purification system, SF6preparation-purification system, and gas chromatograph GC to achieve comprehensive online continuous flow mode analysis of the stable isotope composition (δ13C, δ18O, δ15N, δ34S) of different rocks, minerals, petroleum, natural gas, fluid inclusions, ancient/modern sediments, plants, and water bodies. Additionally, it can provide high-precision analysis of stable isotope composition, including triple oxygen (δ18O, δ17O) and multi sulfur (δ34S, δ33S, δ36S) in various types of rocks and minerals under offline dual-mode.
