Elemental content is an important basic data in geochemical research, and the key element content analysis to be conducted in this laboratory includes total carbon (TC), total sulfur (TS), total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), phosphorus content, as well as major and trace element analysis.
The instrumental equipment in the element analysis lab includes the following: Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) with iCAP RQ and iCAP TQ models, mainly used for trace element content analysis; Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) with an EXPEC 6000 model, mainly used for major and some trace element content analysis; Automated Elemental Analyzer (FlashSmart model), mainly used for C/N/S content determination; Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, mainly used for measuring the content of elements such as Fe; Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay and Ultraviolet Spectrophotometer, mainly used for measuring P and other element contents.
