The laboratory is a supporting clean laboratory for the reception of multiple instruments, including the Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS), Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (Q-ICP-MS), and Triple Quadrupole Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS/MS). It will be used for trace element content analysis and a series of non-traditional stable isotopes (such as K, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn, Si, Mo) chemical separation and purification.
The laboratory occupies an area of 120m2 and is divided into six functional areas according to its functions: Acid purification and cleaning area, Trace element pretreatment area, Isotope separation area, Sample weighing room, Auxiliary equipment, and sample storage area. The cleanliness level of the laboratory is class 1000, while the cleanliness level of the ultra-clean workbench is class 100. An intelligent control system and remote monitoring system for air supply and exhaust are in place to achieve automatic and remote control of cleanliness and temperature and humidity. The temperature is maintained at 23±1°C, and the humidity is maintained at 45±5%. The ultra-clean laboratory is equipped with 11 class 100 laminar flow hoods, 4 column-pass-through units, 4 three-layer steam cabinets, and 5 high-performance exhaust fume hoods. There is a large-capacity deionized water system with a water production capacity of ≥200 L/h (resistivity ≥17.2 MΩ.cm) directly connected to faucets in each room. It also has 2 sets of Milli-Q IQ 7000 ultrapure water systems, 6 sets of 1.8L acid purification equipment, an automated potentiometric titrator, and precise temperature-controlled hotplates. Additionally, there is one precision balance with a resolution of one hundred-thousandth and two analytical balances with a resolution of one ten-thousandth.
